DECORATIVE * VISIONARY* EROTICA * RITUAL OBJECTS * DIGITAL * OUTSIDER

Some artists use henna motifs very effectively as political and cultural commentary.  Powerful images of gender politics, erotica and fantasy have made henna an outstanding vehicle for artistic expression. All artists working with henna develop an appreciation of the expansive influences of an art form beloved by many cultures for many thousands of years. We love that henna is constantly morphing into new and sometimes dangerous realms! For your enjoyment, we present some of the most outstanding artists working in henna and in henna-inspired modern art."
