Originally from Karachi, Pakistan, now living in London, UK, we welcome RIFFAT BAHAR! Riffat is one of the the world’s leading makeup, wedding and mehndi artists. Drawing inspiration from her many years as a professional henna artist, Riffat felt she had a story to tell; this resulted in her first exhibition 'Art of Henna' at Slough Museum. Riffat has now successfully curated two exhibitions, numerous workshops in the local community and is the founding member of "Mehndi Mela," an institute supporting henna artists with advanced training in the U.K and Europe. Riffat prides herself in producing contemporary, creative and original make-up and henna design. Riffat is noted for her versatility. Her cross cultural client base including white weddings and festivals like Glastonbury. Riffat’s work is in demand not only in the UK, but around the world. She has been published in numerous magazines including Asian Bride, Occasions, Viya, Pulse, Illusion, 365, and Faith. She was chosen to be the henna artist at Queen Elizabeth's Golden Jubilee, where she was greeted by the Queen. SIMON RICHARDSON is a world-class dance and portrait photographer based in Bedford, U.K. His interests in dance photography range from Ballet to Indian Classical to Parkour. Simon has worked for numerous dance and theatre companies, produced numerous individual portfolios for dancers, actors and models. He exhibits in Bedford, London (Festival Hall, Nehru Centre, Peacock Theatre) and Outer Mongolia and has worked extensively round the world. He is Chairman of Kadam Asian Dance and Music, a Bedford based company which promotes Classical South Asian dance and is active locally and nationally.
